This tote is very turquoise and I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's almost spring though so it should be okay. The bag turned out way bigger than I planned. I really should just follow a pattern or make a pattern or something that makes sense because I just make them as I go and then wonder why they don't look like what I imagined. Silly me.
Gotta love the ruffle though.
I LOVE this bag! I have the same problem with my thought-up projects...they don't always turn out how I imagined them. But sometimes they do turn out better!
ReplyDeleteI love the bag and the color but my house it filled with this color so I am bias. And I do love the ruffle!
ReplyDeleteYou could sew some really huge white buttons down the front to break up the color! Hi there! I'm a new follower from the Sunday Blog Hop! I would love if you checked my blog out at www.lifesgristle.blogspot.com and follow me back!

Love your blog...Love all your sewing...Found you through TT&J. I'm now following you.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely!! I've learned to step away from my projects for a while to try to keep the "It's too _____" thoughts away because I never follow a pattern either! Funny. It's a great size and gorgeous color :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jess,
ReplyDeleteI love the bag! You've left a comment on my blog, but I can't reply as you're a no-reply blogger. This means people can't reply to your comments. If you want to fix this, just email me back and I'll help you.
@Wendy
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm trying to figure that out...been fiddlin with the html...
love that color combo! I'm drawn to anything turquoise...
ReplyDeleteYou made this as you went?!? Girl, you are talented! I'm totally digging the turquoise - perfect for spring! And I absolutely LOVE the ruffles. I just made a tote that I didn't love till a few days after I made it. Sometimes things have to grow on ya I guess. But this one is a winner! Thanks for showing it off!
