DIY Checkerboard Table

I found this little table at Goodwill and painted a checkerboard on it and painted the legs black. I bought 4- 99¢ bags of washers from Home Depot and spray painted half of them copper.

A Stuffed Animal Birthday Party

Decorating was cheap because I just used stuffed animals Violet already had. I ordered unstuffed animals from here for the kids to stuff and keep. They LOVED it. I tried to replicate this cake (couldn't find a direct link) as best I could but added some candy pearl "polka-dots" and some gold sprinkle/dust at the base. I got my animal toppers from Hobby Lobby.

A Dollhouse for Violet

I was lucky enough to have been given this fantastic collapsible wooden dollhouse from the 60's and it was in great shape and I loved the look of it. I immediately went to work, and a month later (and many, many late nights later), I surprised my girl with a fully furnished and decorated dollhouse. I enjoyed every glue and paint-covered minute of it.
