I picked up a few wooden birdhouses at JoAnn's, (they were $1 each) and let Gideon paint them. When I tell Gideon we're going to paint, he says things like, "Mommy, I love you so, so much" and "Mommy, this is gonna be terrific" (It's hilarious to hear a 3 year old say anything is "terrific"). Anyway, I didn't really plan on doing anything with them but they were so cute that I decided to glue them all on top of each other and attach a string for hanging. Now don't laugh, but we poured bird seed in these tiny, decorative houses and hung them outside wishing and hoping the birds would use it as a bird feeder. No birds yet...
This is so creative! Thanks for sharing!

Oh my goodness this is so cute! I've seen those little bird houses at JoAnn's and always think what a cute craft project they'd be to paint. They look really cute glued on top of one another.
