Four Stockings
I made new stockings this year and it just hit me when they were hung that we're a family of four. I can't really express how warm and fuzzy this makes me feel. It took us a very long time to have our first little nugget and then we got another!!! This Christmas will be very special and full :)
Anyway, here's my four homemade stockings, I plan to eventually embroider names on them, but who knows when I'll get around to that. I basically made these like I would make a bag, sticking the lining inside, sewing the tops together and then rolling the cuff down. Very simple sewing.
I'm joining the great linky parties on my side bar...

How absolutely adorable! I love how they're all different!
ReplyDeleteThey're so cute, Jess. Each one is really pretty, but I think they are at their very best all together!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely! I especially like how you chose not to use traditional Christmasy fabrics. Personal to you! Great job! I would love for you to come visit me at Sew Chatty and link up to Made with Love Monday! http://sewchatty.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteTurned out great! Please come share them over at Giggles, Glitz & Glam!

I love these and thank you for describing the process as "like making a bag". That makes total sense to me!
