I'm constantly trying to figure out how to get a sewing project in now that I have two kids. Today they both went to sleep at the same time so I quickly busted out my sewing stuff and prayed they wouldn't wake up until I was done! God answered my prayer and I made Violet a blanket. I've made these before, they are very easy and cute and easy and cute. This is the tutorial I've used.
I used Heather Bailey's "Nicey Jane" fabric.
And I just thought I would share my sewing room. Ah ha ha! I have one cabinet in my kitchen that holds all my sewing stuff. Every time I want to sew something I have to empty out the fabric to get to my sewing machine. I sew on my kitchen table and then put everything away when I'm done. (well, usually). I must be very careful not to drop pins.
My poor husband... he has to move my sewing machine just to sit down for dinner!

Beautiful! Love the Nicey Jane fabric choice!
ReplyDeleteWhat a productive nap time! The blanket is adorable. And your sewing cupboard is so organized. I am embarrassed just thinking about my messy corner...
