The While You Where Sleeping Baby Blanket

I'm constantly trying to figure out how to get a sewing project in now that I have two kids. Today they both went to sleep at the same time so I quickly busted out my sewing stuff and prayed they wouldn't wake up until I was done! God answered my prayer and I made Violet a blanket. I've made these before, they are very easy and cute and easy and cute. This is the tutorial I've used.

I used Heather Bailey's "Nicey Jane" fabric.

And I just thought I would share my sewing room. Ah ha ha! I have one cabinet in my kitchen that holds all my sewing stuff. Every time I want to sew something I have to empty out the fabric to get to my sewing machine. I sew on my kitchen table and then put everything away when I'm done. (well, usually). I must be very careful not to drop pins.

  1. My poor husband... he has to move my sewing machine just to sit down for dinner!

I love that blanket by the way! It is beautiful, and fast. I love fast :)

  6. What a productive nap time! The blanket is adorable. And your sewing cupboard is so organized. I am embarrassed just thinking about my messy corner...
